English-Speaking Playgroups in Sweden
Stockholm:
If you live in the northern suburbs of Stockholm, there is a small but growing English language playgroup that meets that the Jakobsberg church. This is for kids between 0-6 and there are organized events for children to take part in - ranging from creative crafts to singing as a group. The atmosphere is quite informal and friendly, making this a good place for parents to have a coffee while the children play.
This playgroup meets on Friday mornings between 10:00 and 12:00. The address is at Jakobsberg Kyrkan, Kvarnplan 20, in Jakobsberg and is easily accessible from both bus and train stations.

Hogalid Hedgehogs is probably your best bet if you live in town. This group has children with parents from all over the native English-speaking parts of the world and is probably the most popular group in Stockholm. The only entrance requirement for children is that they have a native English parent.
The Hogalid hedgehogs playgroup is held at the children's center at Hogalid Church on Sodermalm. It is easy to get there by public transportation including the Hornstall metro stop, the Sodermalm train station and the number 4 blue bus.

Goteborg:
The only English-speaking playgroup that I have heard of in the Goteborg area meets at the Opal Church between 10:00am and 1:00pm on Tuesdays. Newborns to pre-schoolers are welcome to attend with a responsible adult. Organized activities range from toys and crafts to a more structured singing session. There are two english speaking playgroups in gothenburg. As you say, one of them is at Opalkyrkan in Västra Frölunda on Tuesdays (term time) and can be reached by tram numbers 1 and 7 - get off at the last stop, Opaltorget. The church is just across from the tram stop. The other is at Ansgarskyrkan in Sävedalen every Wednesday (term time) from 9.30 - 11.30am. Sorry, I don\'t know how to get there by public transport! Each of them charges 20sek per family per week and they are both friendly and good fun. Hope that helps someone.
