In size, Sweden is a little larger than the state of California. Most citizens are reserved, but very pleasant. The many attractions, generously distributed about the country, are especially prevalent in the Archipelago in Gothenburg. Travelers visit Sweden because this country, offering the best of Scandinavia, welcomes all to enjoy the natural beauty of the landscape, the winter wonderland waiting for exploration, and the low-crime that makes the visit both safe and enjoyable.The land has flat countryside with gently rolling hills. Majestic mountains lie to the west. Skiing is a popular sport in the country and there are several resort locations. Riksgransen is a wonderful ski resort up in the Arctic Circle. There are also marvelous ski resorts on the northwestern side of the country as well as in the east in Dalarna County.There are many fabulous places to visit in Sweden. One of the most famous attractions is the extraordinary, amazing Ice Hotel with Ice Bar in the Swedish Lappland. There is over three thousand kilometers of coastline. Gothenburg, the second largest city in the country, is located on the west coast. Tourists can find many spots of interest in this city some of which include the Archipelago islands in the city limits, the Liseburg Amusement Park, the Rohsska Museum, and the shopping at Haga/Linnestanden. To the north of Gothenburg, there are lovely coastal towns, and in less than an hour’s drive, travelers can visit the Varberg’s Fortress.

People may visit Sweden on business or pleasure, but all should take in as much of the natural beauty, the attractions and the culture of this country. Visitors can partake of traditional foods of the sea and even reindeer meat. Visiting Sweden is an experience travelers will never forget. There are so many places to visit in Sweden. Tourists may wish to lengthen their stay or plan a return visit to the country in the near future.
